Logmore Table
The story of this table is in its top and the remarkable wood used in its making. The five thousand year old bog oak log was naturally jet black at its outside gradually changing to a warm brown colour at its middle.
Placing and grading the lighter brown oak towards the centre of the table makes a simple but bold statement whilst defining an area which works particularly well in ‘framing’ a small dinner party on an otherwise long table.
The leg structure, a combination of tapered legs, columns and turned rails all meeting at three cast metal bosses, was laid out to avoid the sitters’ feet.
Bog oak & bronze.
